Trans Embodiment Project

It can be challenging to find accessible integrative wellness services that understand trans and queer experiences and offer a safe space. We want to make sure that the healing and generative bodywork, counseling, movement classes, and other therapeutic offering are available and accessible to the Trans, NB & GNC communities. We are building a community of practice and resource support for the well-being, emotionally, physically and physiologically of trans and GNC folx.

Housed inside Chico Body-Wise Collective in Central Chico, the Trans Embodiment Project is a grant funded program which allows us to significantly lower the cost of one-on-one services. In addition, we are able to offer free ongoing community practice groups and events, as well as periodic low cost weekend workshops and retreats. We are pairing and collaborating with other organizations, practitioners and teachers to infuse our community with trans-specific wellness work, which we will continue to offer on-going within our community. Wellness services through the Trans Embodiment Project include massage, counseling, as well as movement and arts based creative therapeutic practices.

A Trans-formative Art Experience in March!

Join us for a powerful embodiment practice to help us express and transform a swirl of emotions into empowered vitality. There will be plenty of room for art expression and sharing and connecting in the ways we are shaping our world. We are here together lifting each other up!

This Trans Embodiment Project event is included in a line-up of events being put on as part of Stonewall’s Trans Month.

Through the trans embodiment we are able to offer low-cost one-on- one services to Trans and GNC folx at a sliding scale of $20-$40 per session for a series of up to 12 sessions to each individual!! Choose from a variety of modalities and practitioners listed below. As queer, genderqueer, and non-binary practitioners, we are thrilled to be able to serve those within our community. Join us in building a community of practice; sharing and learning skills and tools for being well in the world.

This will be a co-creative, dynamic container of sharing experience and expression!

Together with a variety of host and guest facilitators we will nurture and grow our community of practice.

Trans Embodiment Project is funded by a grant through Trans Justice Funding Project. This allows us to provide low-cost services to the trans, non-binary and gender nonconforming community of Butte County.
